The Three Ps...

Pizza, paddling, and pedaling...

The pizza is self-explanatory: lunch at Leek's, just up the road - the best pizza in the park. The paddling and pedaling both refer to kayaking - we have a paddle kayak and a Hobie pedal (or paddle) kayak. This is the first chance we've had since we got here to get them both out. I paid $40 to the Park Service and $30 to the state of Wyoming to put the kayaks in these waters. We have been able to use the company's kayaks, but only out of our marina on Jackson Lake. We can use ours on any water where boats are allowed here and in Yellowstone.

Launching...

Joan has a preference for the Pelican kayak, the paddle model...

I like 'em both, but the Hobie Mirage (pedal) really kicks. We took a moment to get photos with the mountains in the background before we started working our way up the current of the Snake River...

It's a good workout! We can swap to work both the upper and lower body. Or enjoy a downstream run... as long as we have a vehicle at a take-out point. ;-)
