Livin' LARGE...

We have been using Passport America for the RV parks along our route.  PA saves you 50%; we're not planning our vacation around these places, just using what is along the way, staying for a night.  Back in the day, we were pretty particular about where we parked our coach... even if just for an overnight.  One might say that we have lowered our standards.  ;-)  I like to think that we are being more frugal.

Tonight we are in a PA park near where we used to live.  It is mostly gravel, with VERY nice showers and laundry.  Level sites.  And the really best part: the nice lady who took our reservations was excited to have us here; she said, "We've never had anyone stay in a boat here before - that is SO neat!  And your boat is so cute.  Do you mind if I take a photo of it in the site?"

"By all means."  It's nice to be made to feel welcome. :-)  The receipt from the RV park says, "The friendliest RV park in South Dakota"... we haven't stayed in all of them in the state, but they sure are the friendliest we've come across.

That is especially nice because we own in a membership park in this area.  It is truly one of the nicest RV parks around.  They won't let us stay there because we are in a boat.  In fact, they made a new rule after we stayed there last (We bought a tent and put in on the site as our "camping unit."  Yeah, we still stayed in the boat; the tent was to meet the letter of the law.)... they now have a rule that any camping unit, including a boat, has to have an RVIA sticker.  That is a production RV certification; no boat has that.

So, we'll be here a couple nights while we get some service done on the truck and take care of some other stuff.

We also brought along our VuQube; we have satellite TV in the boat.  (Yeah, that's something that many RVs (with RVIA stickers) don't have. ;-).

This is the first we have unhooked the boat/trailer from the truck since we left south Texas.  We are free to wander at will with the truck.  The temp is in the low 60s, so Izzy will be very comfortable lounging in the boat.

Oh, and the park has good wifi and we are getting 4G!

Yep, we are livin' large.
