Perspective...

It was nice to lounge in this morning.  We haven't been able to do that since we left the Tropical Tip.  Joan enjoyed a couple cups of her Keurig coffees.  I got hot chocolate with whipped cream.  We watched the Today Show while visiting.  Opening the window shades in the boat, it wasn't raining.

The perspective?  If we get two days in a row of overcast in the Tropical Tip, that is a downer.  This morning, the forecast was for a 70% chance of precip, with heavy overcast.  Joan was out cleaning in the cockpit while I wiped down the shower; she said to me, "It's pretty nice out!"

Solid overcast, but reasonably high ceiling.  Actual light areas in the sky, even though there is no "blue" visible.  No rain.  Well, not currently.  And, that's what qualifies as "pretty nice," this time of year in the San Juan Islands.

We may not need rain jackets to walk uptown for lunch.  No telling what will happen on our way back from lunch. ;-)

On edit:

Yep.  All afternoon...

We ran errands in the rain... to the lumber yard... to the grocery store... to the other grocery store.  I was going to make a new platform for the VuQube (satellite dish), but I decided to put that off 'till it's dry out... like maybe July.  ;-)

We did stop in the whale watch office to let them know we are here and visit with the folks, new and old friends.
