Old Dogs and Young Pups...

No, we're not shopping for a pet for Izzy.

Last night was the "Second Annual Old Dogs vs Young Pups Basket Ball Game"... it is the faculty where Steph and Dan teach vs the 8th grade; coed for both teams.  Of course, we would be there to support the Old Dogs, but Steph volunteered us for another non-paid position: selling raffle tickets to help fund raise for uniforms for the athletic programs at the school.

The kids were pumped, they get to play on "the big court" at the high school...

The fund-raisers...

For their raffle donation, people had the chance to be selected to participate in "3 Point", "Around the World", and "Free Throw" competitions for prize packages.

Dan is on the Old Dogs team, Steph and her "team" were keeping score and providing color commentary...

The Young Pups were out-gunned for height, but they made up for it with no-bounds energy...

It turned out to be a fun game to watch...

The Young Pups took an early lead, but the Old Dogs didn't give up...

As you might expect, I was kinda partial to the raffle chick...

Late in the 4th quarter, the score was all tied up...

You could feel the tension...

The Old Dogs kept up the press, even though you could see the fatigue in their playing.  The Young Pups were at a disadvantage, without coaching (their coach was playing for the Old Dogs).  And in the end...

... the Old Dogs emerged victorious.

The participants...

Another example of how experience and treachery is able to overcome youth and exuberance.  ;-)
