Ides of March...

If you said, "The band that did the song Vehicle," you may be part of my generation.  If you said, "Shakspeare's quote from Julius Caesar," you are probably more high-brow than me (I?).  ;-)

It is mid-March.  The premium on RV sites in the Valley of the Sun will start the seasonal decline today.  Just this morning, we see a difference in the occupancy on our street in this RV park... where there were no open sites, there are now plenty.

The snowbird migration north begins in earnest around "the ides of March."  People have been gone for several months, and they feel the need to head for home.  Sometimes because of grandkids, or wanting to get their gardens started.  Most often, we hear, "I need to get back to do my taxes."

Does it really take a month to gather up the paperwork and get 'em filed?  Joan had ours done a while back; including getting W2s and 1099s.

It has been a crazy busy season here: the Pro Bowl, the SuperBowl, major golf tournaments, the big Good Sam Rally, NASCAR, baseball spring training.  And, the warmth.  While much of the country has been seeing colder and snowier that usual, it has been warmer and dryer than usual here.

We are down to our last couple weeks here.  I'm sure I could go to the RV park office, and they might be nicer about finding us a different site... we are settled in; not looking to move again for a while.
