Timing...

We talked about taking the Black Ball Ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria for a day trip.  It would be fun to take the scoots around Victoria.  The reality turned out to be: getting up really early or losing a good portion of the day.  Having to be at the ferry landing 90 minutes prior to departure, to get a vehicle on.  More "hurry up and wait."

We talked about just doing a walk-on.  The ferry landing in Victoria is very close to downtown, and it is a pleasant walk.  Again, the timing of the ferry was an issue.

We decided to "sleep on it," and see how we felt this morning.  We were both marginally awake early - I said, "Well, do you feel like scurrying to get on the ferry?"

"Not particularly."

Issue averted.  We'll unstrap the bikes and ride into town later to check it out.  We are not on a schedule.  I got us two nights in this RV park.  Speaking of which - it was a bit of a culture shock to open the shades this morning and have a motorhome on either side of us.  Close.  As in: the lady who took our reservation let us know that "if you have big slide outs on either side, you won't fit in the site."  She wasn't kidding.
