Registered...

A relaxing start to the New Year: the Rose Bowl Parade, a tasty home-made breakfast, then a movie.

It was a cool start to the day, but beautiful sunshine.  I printed a couple registration numbers for the quadcopter (yes, I am legal)...

The red ovals show where I put the registration numbers, printed on sticky-back paper with my new photo printer.  Yes, there is a good use for that sticky-back photo paper.  ;-)

Since I had the quadcopter out, I decided to fly it and see what happens when a battery runs low.  I didn't charge it the last time I had the copter out and thought it wouldn't take long to run it out.  I flew it...

Climbing...

Made a few laps of the coach...

Landed and took off a few times.  Practiced some maneuvers.  When the battery finally did get low, you get an audible warning and a vibration on the controller.  And still enough battery left to safely bring it around and land.

I didn't put another battery in it - mid-afternoon and time to head to Steph and Dan's house.  I took the scooter out to run a couple errands (they have been living in their garage since the park made us put the cargo trailer in storage) - felt great to be out and about on it again.

Steph made supper.  Nice start to the New Year.

Thanks, Marty. I was wondering if anyone would catch that. ;-) Humble pie isn't bad with some whipped cream on it.
