Home, sweet home, away from home...

The previous post, we were in line, waiting for the ferry.  If you have to be waiting, it is nice to be waiting in your RV - all the comforts of home.

When the ferry came in, they have to off-load all the vehicles coming back to the mainland...

Our turn to load up; they put all the cars on before the bigger stuff.  The guy guiding me had me closer to the wall than I care for...

Normally, that lane next to the motorhome would be full of cars - I'm guessing we got off easy this trip.

It was over the noon hour, so Joan made us lunch while the ferry did the driving.  Nice.

It was raining when we loaded and enroute.  I took a walk around the ferry - needed a jacket...

I saw where they put Joan with the Honda.  If you look to the left, you can see the motorhome (and how close it is to the wall).

Seeing another ferry, from the ferry...

Silhouettes of islands - even in the rain, this place is gorgeous!

The passenger areas on the ferry...

When we got close to Friday Harbor, Joan went back to the Honda, and we got ready to unload.  The rain had quit, and there were bits of blue showing in the sky!  Yeah, we're bringing the sunshine with us.  Just outside of Friday Harbor...

Check out that blue sky.  I was hoping we wouldn't have to set up our site in the rain.  Pulling in...

First order of business: drop the cargo trailer, then get the coach situated.  The ground is a little soft, so Joan put blocks under our leveling jacks...

With the coach leveled and slides out, I went to work getting utilities set up, Joan set about getting the inside ready for the season.

Getting the patio area set up...

For almost 3 weeks, the scoots have been strapped down inside the trailer - time to set them free!

Fired 'em up and let 'em run for a bit.  No time for a ride - more work to do.  Like getting the e-bikes out of the Honda...

So much stuff that was packed for the trip that needed to be rearranged to make things convenient.  Little Izzy is excited - she definitely remembers this place!  Plus, it isn't hot - we can leave the duo shades open on the windows... the coach feels light and airy, and Izzy has a view.  When we were done putting stuff away, I took her for a walk...

"Daddy, I love this place!"

We walked around the perimeter and back by the vehicles...

"Can we stay here forever?"

Well, we'll be here for a while, Iz.

Brian, our boss, came by just as we were sitting down... "Come on in - tell us what's going on with the new building and the new boat!"

Lots to catch up on.  We'll check in tomorrow and get to work on Wednesday.  This is "the season."

Hi HRB. That is a tough dilemma: to own a boat or be content on OPB (other people's boats).

Well-- Other people were always content on our Boat.. Take them out for a day-- Burn Fuel and all you get from them is "Thanks".. I worked on a boat one time and at the Helm Station was a Plaque-- "This Boat Runs on Fuel-- Not Thanks" Lol.. Ain't that the truth!!
