It must be a sign...

In Idaho, we were on Mountain Time, but our inner clocks said Pacific Time still.  Joan made us breakfast before we hit the road.  We topped off gas on the motorhome and the Honda, since we are again driving separate.

Pet peeve: stupid people who park at a gas pump, then go inside... shop... have breakfast... get a shoe shine... and, then come back to their vehicle to pump gas.  Reminds me of a wise old saying: Some people are like a Slinky - they have no real purpose, but it brings a smile to your face when you push 'em down a flight of stairs.

The only city we would pass through today is Boise, Idaho... easy...

The screen in the dash of the motorhome has changed - I am back on the "Cargo Trailer Channel" today...

The last bit of Idaho, across Oregon, and into Washington State - there are some hills today...

Glad we aren't double towing.  Looking up one hill, there is an accident ahead...

Some gusty winds today, as well.

About those signs...

I looked for a tequila sign - no joy.

Apparently, they want you to take the corner on two wheels here.  May be why that truck above was having an issue.  There are steep inclines and curves through the mountains...

We passed a sign that read: 45th parallel - mid way between the Equator and the North Pole.  No, I didn't get the camera out fast enough.

About the gusty winds: a dust devil.  Haven't seen one of those since New Mexico...

This guy passed us - the boat on that spindly trailer didn't look particularly secure...

No snow today...

These two signs weren't together, but should have been...

One particularly steep downhill grade - they weren't messin' around...

Leaving Oregon, heading into Washington...

A few miles before the turnoff for the RV park tonight...

Looks like they got right on it - the fire (on the side and in the median of I82) was nearly out.

We are staying in the Columbia Sun RV Resort - a Good Sam 10/10/10 rating (the only one in Washington State).  Nice park, friendly people getting us checked in.

------------------------

On edit:  a sign that we are retired - we pulled into the park around 2:00; it is nice getting off the road early.  After settling in, we decided to take the car into Kennewick for an early supper.  The nice folks at the front desk gave us a booklet on the area... I was feeling like some "down under" dining; Outback it is.

We had a sandwich around 11:00 this morning, so we were ready for an "early bird" supper today.  No, they don't have early bird specials.  ;-)  It was nice to have a relaxing supper, then back to the coach.  Little Izzy was ready for some leash time...

Yeah, I could climb this... if I really wanted to.

The grass is thick and lush - almost up to her thick and lush belly fur.

When Izzy was ready to come in, Joan and I went for a walk around the park.  This really is a very nice park.  Long sites (up to 100' pull-throughs).  Some are paved, some are hard pack gravel, but all are laid out to accommodate modern RVs, with plenty of room for slide-outs.  Some views during our walk...

Picnic areas scatter around the park.  It appears that they have a kid section (RVs with toys and bikes spread out all over the sites) and a grown-up section.  That always made more sense to me than pet and no-pet sections.

Nice pool and hot tub area, with plenty of grassy park-like surroundings...

Nice paved interior roads, plenty wide...

The office area has a camp store, laundry, and indoor and outdoor events areas.

Columbia Sun is currently a Passport America park, so we were able to get a site for half price.  I would imagine, as nice as this place is, that affiliation won't be around long.
