She's still got it...

Classic beauty.  Great lines.  Just as pretty as the first day I saw her.  What's that?  Talking about the Blonde.? Well, yeah, her, too.

We got to spend the afternoon with Tim and Mary today - a real treat to see them again!  Last time we saw them was when we said good-bye to them and Wild Blue two years ago.

First time I've gone down to the marina docks (other than the commercial docks) this season...

Joan, Tim, and Mary, with Wild Blue...

A nice lady passing by asked if I wanted to get in the photo, too... sure!

Wild Blue is still a classic beauty.  We sat in the cockpit with Tim and Mary, catching up on the past two years.  They are such a great couple... makes me feel good that Wild Blue is in good hands.  They will be heading north from here: through the Gulf Islands, to Desolation Sound, and maybe beyond.  Just the way we enjoyed cruising: no schedule, no time frame.

Looking at the next 10 day forecast, Mother Nature is going to be kind as they head north.  While Wild Blue can handle cold and wet weather, it is nice to be able to cruise in the sunshine.  And, the further north they go, the warmer the water will be... people actually get in the water in Desolation Sound (70º or so water temp, compared to our 49º here).

Before heading up for lunch/dinner, I took a photo of Tim and Mary inside the boat...

OK, and a nice exterior photo of that lovely boat, too...

We walked uptown for a nice meal and more great conversation (thank you, Tim and Mary!).  We are very excited for them on this adventure.

No, I didn't get teary-eyed seeing this great boat.  We truly enjoyed our time with her, until it was time to turn her over to her next care-takers.

Bon voyage, Tim and Mary!
