Just to get out...

After getting our work done around the house, we went out on the boat late afternoon.  It was hot and humid, no agenda beyond enjoying some time on the water.  The water temp is now 86º, so no cooling breeze from that.

This guy was airing out his wings...

Boats coming in as we were heading out...

That sportfisher above was kicking a 4 foot wake as he went by us.  It made the chop on the ship channel (east wind) seem small by comparison...

We looked in the bow wave of this passing shrimper, hoping to see some dolphins...

Nope.  However, we did have some luck finding our mammal friends around this bait shrimper in the ship channel...

Another bait shrimper came to join the first one...

Which really brought out the seagulls and pelicans...

Heading back in, we saw this group of pelicans on a daymark: "Make room - I'm coming in!"

A look back over my shoulder as we passed through the turning basin on the way home...

Hi HRB. Joan has shrimp once in a while; I don't care for it. I'm not much of a seafood eater. Heresy among boating folks. ;-)
