Muffy, let's head to the Cape...

Cape Cod, that is.

We have been doing quite well with our 2/2/2 Rule.  We only went 150 miles or so today, but it took us about 4 1/2 hours to do so.  Traffic and road construction slow-downs were the norm.

Heading out of the Kennebunkport area this morning...

We hadn't wandered south during our last stay - we discovered that the Wells (south of Kennebunkport) is even more touristy... and business must be booming.

We saw a LOT of "No Vacancy" signs out.  We also saw these signs...

Apparently, there are people here who levitate bikes over their heads.  Enough so that they need to post signs to look out for them.

Once we were well south of that area, the road cleared out...

Leaving Maine, heading into New Hampshire...

We didn't have a lot of miles in New Hampshire, then it was on to Massachusetts...

And, more traffic...

I had originally figured we'd be into the RV park in Cape Cod around 2:00...

Nope; with 35 miles to go, it would be 3:00.  No, we aren't on a schedule.  But, we're getting close...

While I checked us in at the RV park, Joan unhooked the CR-V, and we pulled into our site...

Yep, another heavily wooded site.

After yesterday's rain and the driving day today, little Izzy was in dire need of some outside time.  So, before going anywhere, she and I took a walk, then some time in our site...

Then, supper early for her - a very contented kitty.  Joan and looked around the RV resort: there are a lot of "all season" renters here, including a good portion of the sites with permanent park homes...

Part of the resort is on a peninsula, with a pond (I'd call it a lake) surrounding that on 3 sides.  Some sites have a dock, and there are a couple beaches...

A bit too chilly for folks to be out there today (only in the 60s), but tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and mid to upper 70s.

It is a nice resort, but we won't be spending much time here; two nights is all we could get... the lady at the office shrugged it off: "It's July and August in Cape Cod - everybody is full."  We plan to get out tomorrow to see the Cape Cod National Seashore.

After our tour of the park, we drove around the area... discovered a massive shopping complex at Mashpee.  No, we didn't stop; nothing we needed, but it was worth a drive-through.  We stopped for supper down the road a bit - a nice, relaxing way to wrap up the day.

Back to the coach, and some more outside time for Izzy.  While walking her, a little girl riding by on her bicycle stopped and asked if she could pet her... "Yes, but she is shy, so go easy and don't scare her."  She was gentle.  Then, another girl, and more petting.  Then, a little brother who wasn't so gentle... Izzy was done.  She and I walked back to the coach and sat outside until the chill drove us in.  I'm guessing we'll be running some heat tonight, again.
