Our for our evening walk...

Just after sunset, Izzy wanted to go for a walk.  Beautiful light out there, a perfect temp - let me get my shoes on.  The view towards the water in the pretty light...

Another view of one of those Great White Herons...

Izzy enjoying her walk...

I was hoping to get the sun at the tree level, but it already set...

Izzy and I stood out on the point, enjoying the pretty scene.  Well, Izzy sat, I stood, and she was more interested in the little butterflies occasionally going by...

This disrupted the quiet for a few moments, then turned around and left...

It has a big outboard, but it was running with a big fan as an airboat - I haven't seen one before where the fan rotates to steer (what I've seen in the past used air rudders).  It came into the creek, and was gone within a couple minutes.

Another heron...

Looking back towards our site...

In stark contrast to the airboat, these folks in a canoe came quietly paddling by...

The young man said to me, "Great to see you walking your cat!  We take ours to the park on a leash, and I haven't seen anyone else do that."

"Oh, there's plenty of us out there.  They like to get some outdoor time, too!"

We bid each other a good evening - they paddled down the creek, Izzy and I headed for home.  A nice evening.
