This is the way to start the day...

Before going to bed last night, Joan said, "Let's go out on the boat first thing in the morning, before the wind comes up.  I'll have something for us to eat."

She didn't have to ask me twice.  At 7:00 this morning, she came out of the bedroom, ready to head out on the boat.  She had fruit and pastries ready to load onboard.

With the time change back to Central Standard Time, not early enough for sunrise, but close...

Low tide this morning, and heading lower.  To be expected, after our unusually high tides of a couple weeks go.  Here is what is showing under the docks...

The turn into the last canal, on the GPS...

Yeah, that says 1.7 feet of depth.  That canal hasn't been dredged, yet.  That is one of the skinnier spots.

The sun is above the horizon as we make our turn into the ICW...

Joan got out our fruit and pastries, but as you can see in the photo above, there were dolphins...

They did swim up to the boat, but they were as interested in breakfast as we were , and we enjoyed watching their feeding behavior.  They may have said the same thing about us.

Back to munching, and some bird viewing...

And, more dolphins... and pelicans...

Roseate Spoonbill...

Did you see the Great Blue Heron in the background?  (above)

And dolphins...

 Pelicans...

The moon in daylight...

And, almost some dolphin face...

A gorgeous morning!  Upper 70s and not much wind.  We planned the outing with the building wind in mind, and our timing was good - it was just starting to pick up as we headed for home.

A tug and barge coming up the ship channel...

Joan turned her camera on me...

And vice versa...

Back home.  Little Izzy was laying on the bottom of her tower and not particularly interested in being photographed...

And still she is photogenic.  I may be biased.

We took the scoots out for lunch...

I had been craving a stromboli... and our local Italian restaurant makes a fine one.  And, it was their daily special today ($6 off).  Yep, a very good day.

It was breezy when we were out on the scoots, but still very nice.  Into the low 80s by the afternoon, but not terribly humid.

Some time spent this afternoon getting numbers for all the Kidde fire extinguishers (two in the house, one in the car, one in the cargo trailer, and two in the motorhome).  A big ol' recall on most of the small extinguishers made by this company.... literally, millions of them that will need to be replaced due to a possible faulty plastic nozzle.  I don't know how they will be able to stay in business.  If you have small fire extinguishers, the odds are pretty good they were made by Kidde - check them out to see if yours need to be replaced.  (My public service notice for the day.)
