Back on the water...

We made an "international" trip this morning, but back home in time for lunch.  An afternoon outing on the boat was on the schedule.  Warm and humid, with a very light breeze - the water temp is just over 80º, so any breeze helps.  As does the shade from the bimini.

One of the first things we saw was a bait shrimper with a new name here...

Classy.  Not.  Not the first I've seen that name on a boat.

Right behind that bait shrimper, we got our first view of dolphins...

And pelicans...

I guess the dolphins missed us (we haven't been out for a few days) - within minutes we had them all around the boat...

Whoa - that is close!

Look at that baby face...

Fins and a tail (up close)...

Who was that masked photographer babe?

More baby face...

Right next to the boat...

Looking right down the blow hole...

Dolphin tails...

That one above is pretty raggedy looking.

Heading for home, we passed these two tugs pushing barges...

Good to get back out there.  Coming back in the canal, the motor started running rough again... it feels like a fuel delivery problem.  Ran smooth back at our dock, and when pulled back to idle from a high rev, it stalled.  The engine is under warranty, but I am not excited about pulling the boat out and hauling it to Harlingen... then being without the boat for a couple weeks.  I'll check in line filters tomorrow, but I have the feeling it may be a fuel pump.  Yeah, it's a boat - it always needs some attention.

Ya-- What is that "Crud" on that Tail??
Dolphins always seem to have a Smile on their Face-- Love the Pics!!

I've seen that name on a Boat before too..

If it's a Vacuum operated Pump-- Check your Vacuum lines..
I would think that if a Filter was Partially Clogged-- It would Starve for Fuel at Higher RPMs..
I'm not "Up" on the new Outboard Engines-- I like working on Old ones..
That would suck to have to pull the Boat and not have it for awhile-- You just Launched it..

PS: Is the Blond go'n Incognito?? Maybe try'n to hide from Poperotzies??
We Vacationed one time on a "Exclusive" Beach in the French Caribbean rite after High Season-- We had the place almost to ourselves.. While there-- I was wondering if Poperotzies had a Eye on use trying to figure out if we were "Anybody"..

Hi HRB. We both use the "neck gators" for sun protection. Joan pulls hers up on her face from time to time to keep from getting too tan. The sun can be pretty intense here in the Tropical Tip.

My next step on the boat will be to replace the lines from the tank to the motor. The stalling doesn't happen at high RPM, but after pulling back the power to idle. There is a lift pump on the motor, and when I pushed fuel to it this morning, there was no gas leaking (or smell). The way the fuel line is run from the tank to the motor puts quite a drop in the line - I'll also reroute that.
