Oh, what a beautiful morning (Rufus goes to camp)...

A spectacular day today: sunny to start the day; around 60º early, with a high of 80º expected.  Joan wanted a "discovery day," I want to get out on the scoot.  We can make both things happen.  But first, Rufus was over-due for some outdoor time.  He has gotten a bit "soft" in Texas.  He goes out on the deck with us, doesn't need to be on a leash.  We don't do walks with him there because of the chance of sandburrs in the grass.  In fact, other than when we've taken him on the boat, he hasn't worn his walking harness.

He was not excited about getting the harness on.  After a nice brushing and some claw trimming, Joan got him into his harness.  He wasn't sure about even being outside, but he seemed to really like the grass once we got him to it...

Then, off to Rapid City for some "lite shopping," and the discovery portion of our day - we drove around a bit, looking at the changes since we were here last.

This afternoon, out on the scoots...
