Photoshop...


It is a powerful software program from Adobe that allows photo retouching and manipulation.  You knew that?  Yeah, everyone is familiar with the term "photoshop" as though it is a bad thing: "Did you photoshop that picture?"  In today's society, photoshop has become a verb.  ;-)

For years before we retired, Photoshop (the software, not the verb) was used on every finished photo our studio produced.  It isn't just about "retouching," but is also used to enhance the color, density, and contrast of images.  I've mentioned this before, but it is what your color lab (even the 1-hour places) did for your photos.  Much of it was automated; sometimes the operator of the equipment would use their eye to make an adjustment.

Just messing around this morning, I used Photoshop to give Rufus two matching ears...


He is a handsome boy either way, but it doesn't look like our Rufus in the image on the right.  Joan said, "That isn't my handsome boy.

Yep.

That image on the left is my dashing furry boy.
