Where'd it go??

Today should be the day.

I've been "following along" with the journey of the guitar I ordered.  Seems like it has been a long time coming.  There was discussion with Emerald that the guitar would be done in time to have it shipped to Hart Ranch while we were there.  That didn't happen.

I asked them to hold the now finished guitar until we got home.  Then, the guitar was supposed to ship on Friday, September 29th.  The owner of Emerald Guitars found something that needed to be addressed (so the guitar would be "perfect"), so it didn't ship until October 1st.  Well, according to AN Post (Ireland's postal system), it didn't get into their system until the evening of the 2nd.

Then, to London, to New York, through US Customs, and into the hands of the US Postal Service.  It made its way to San Antonio, then to the south Texas hub in McAllen.  Late Friday.  Then, departed the McAllen hub on Saturday.  Which would have put it into our local Post Office after they were closed on Saturday.

I assumed this morning I would see those 3 magic words: Out For Delivery.

Instead, this message:  "Sorry, we're currently experiencing technical difficulties with our tracking application. We thank you for your patience while we work to resolve the issue. Please check back."

Funny stuff, USPS.

 --------------

The USPS tracking is back on-line.  Now getting "Expected Delivery October 9th"... we'll see.
