Sunny and windy...

Not just about the forecast.  Watching weather a few days ago, we had already decided to spend an extra night in San Antonio.  Overnight, the predicted winds kicked up.  This morning, the wind is NNW @ 30, gusting above 40.  Nice to be snug in an RV site.  We will do some shopping today, and will pull the slides in before we head out.

First night out in the coach in a while... we all slept great.  Rufus slipped right back into "RV cat" mode; the boy is just happy to be where we are.  As I am writing this, Rufus is laying beside me on the dinette seat.  He has been fed, Joan has her coffee, I have had my hot chocolate.  Nice to not be on a schedule.

Weather is important while RVing.  The heat is on this morning, and it will only get into the upper 50s on this blustery, but sunny, day.  Tonight, the low will be around 36º - we will have some of our utilities put away so we don't have to deal with that on a chilly Sunday morning when we depart.  And the wind will be back down to single digits by then... well, that is what is predicted.  We'll see.

Sassy!

Out this afternoon for some shopping and a meal.  First stop...

It isn't a trip through San Antonio without a stop at the SAS Shoe Factory and General Store.  They have shoes to fit my fat feet.  They also have shoes for people with normal size feet.  And, they make truly comfortable shoes.  I always pick up a pair or two when we stop there.  Today... nothing I needed.  But, Joan found a couple pair of sandals.

Some other shopping, late lunch, then heading back to the coach.  We checked out a couple car washes along the way (the Honda is grubby after being towed in the rain), but the sunshine brought out a lot of other people, too.  Back home to Rufus.  And he really wanted to go outside.  Joan put the harness on him and I took him out... he was not a fan of the wind (which is still cold and gusty).  I had to carry him out a ways so he would walk back.  A roll in the grass...

And then he sat at the door, meowing to go in...

With the predicted cold temp tonight, we put on some fresh water, dumped the holding tanks, and put away the water and sewer hoses.  Less to put away in the morning, and I won't have to deal with a hose that bends like rebar.

With this wind, it was a good day to stay put, do some shopping, and just kick back.
