Messing about with boats...

It was haul-out time for our friends, Herb and Wilma, and their boat, Willie's Tug.  The ramp on our island works well for that.  I rode around with Herb in the boat, Joan and Wilma brought the truck and trailer from Herb's house to the ramp.  Joan backed the trailer down the ramp, Herb motored up onto the trailer.  Joan stepped out on the trailer and cranked the boat in.  Slick.

The women in charge.  Joan gave Wilma some pointers on trailering on their way around.  Herb and I just talked about boat stuff.

With the boat out of the water, it was just a matter of hooking up the straps, and heading out.

Back and Herb and Wilma's house, we said our good-byes, and swung Big Red out past the storage yard where Wild Blue is waiting.

Just checking on her.  She will come out of storage next week, get a fresh coat of wax, an oil change, and some touch-up on the bottom paint.  Nice thing about a boat: you don't have to worry about having idle time on your hands. ;-)

It's a beautiful day in the Tropical Tip - temp in the 70s, light easterly breeze, and sunny.  Joan has some projects around the house for us, but I am going to try to get some scooter time in, too.

On edit: Wilma sent me this photo...

Yeah, that's Joan on the trailer, cranking the boat in, while Herb and I seem to be discussing something important from the dock.  A woman's job is never done. ;-)
