A rainy start to the day...

Up at 5:30, after a very restful night (no: "Oh! Oh! Oh!" to keep me awake).  The sound of rain on the cabintop.  No idea when it started, but it didn't wake either of us.  Joan will head to work around 7:30, I will make the drive to Roche a couple hours later.  Since the rain is supposed to hang around all day, I'll be taking the truck instead of the scooter.

Last year at this time, I think we had more rain days than sunny - this is our first rain day since we started working.  And, it looks like more of the same through the weekend.

So, Friday the 13th, on a full moon, comes in soggy...

With your amazing weather and working two half days a week I sure hope you're not looking for sympathy!!!

LOL That's the way it gets presented, huh? ;-)

Not at all. Just jealous! Hot and humid in OKC with NO ocean OR mountains to enjoy. Lake is down limiting sailing, and really tired of working indoors behind a computer all the time. Can you tell it was a LONG week!!! Really enjoy your blog! You and Dave (Drift Away/Bleecker) are tops!!!

I get it, Mark. When we used to *really* work, summer was our busiest time. Being able to get on my favorite sailing forum to read about folks getting out there was a treat. For full disclosure, Joan usually puts in 10 hour days; right now, most of my boat time is half days. ;-) This is our 5th summer in the PNW - it is a refreshing change from the heat down south. Any day that gets to 70º is "warm", we haven't seen that too often, yet. Here's a thought for you: wearing layers in the summer! ;-)
