Help me make it through the night...

Dry camping.  Well, not this morning, 'cause the rain is coming down.  ;-)

It was interesting last night.  The guys in the motorhome next to us (father and son) fired up their generator, first we've heard them use it.  I thought maybe they needed a/c... nope, they plugged in a bass amp outside and started playing.  Just the bass.

Joan asked me, "Do people generally listen to just the bass?"

"Well, maybe... if you're a bass player.  And right now, we're listening to just the bass."  ;-)  Not much option, since the RVs were requested to park "about 6 feet apart."

After a half hour or so of "just the bass," a guitar player joined in.  Apparently, they didn't know any of the same songs... or at least that's how it sounded.  It's a music festival of sorts - we kinda expected this.  On the other hand, the folks next door have been listening to the regular running of our generator.  You deal with it.

Quiet hours are between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm (other than generators).  The playing went on beyond that, but wrapped up around 11:00... when we also heard a faint rumble of thunder in the distance.

It was surprisingly quiet when we went to bed around 11:30.

Turning on the TV this morning, there was a piece about the Sweetwater Gear Fest on the local news...

They were saying this is the largest music consumer event/festival of this type in the country.  What little we've seen so far, I believe it.

Time to clean up and head out into the wet.  Just like Woodstock; well, for music stuff buyers.  ;-)
