The process has begun...

We carted the scoots away today.  No, they are not going to a new home, but we won't be taking them along with our travels this summer... heading northeast from here, there are too many states that don't allow double towing.

So, the scoots got strapped down, left our island...

And parked in our storage unit inland about 30 miles...

It keeps our stored stuff out of the salt air, and in case of a hurricane, it is away from the coast.  Of course, since the terrain here is so flat, flooding at the coast can run many miles inland.  It is something we think about every spring/summer when we head out.

The boat trailer and the motorhome were in the storage unit...

The boat trailer came back with us, the cargo trailer and the motorhome went back inside.  Sometime in the next few days, the boat will come out, get thoroughly cleaned and flushed, and when it goes into the storage unit, the motorhome will come out and we will be heading out.

Yeah, I will try to get another boat outing or two before we pull it out... it has to hold me for a while, since we are not heading to seasonal boat jobs (first time in 7 years).
