Small town life...

The funeral was today.  The service was touching.  Mother Nature was tough - it was (as expected) cold at the cemetery.  Joan's relatives in this town are warm, welcoming folks.  People look out for each other, and they care.  Joan's family is great; her extended family, in this town and the surrounding area, made this occasion better.

A meal after the service at the cemetery, a family meeting through most of the afternoon, and another meal this evening.  Kind words, concerned thoughts.

Tomorrow, we start the trek back south.
