Schlepping...

I'm a schlepper, she's a schlepper, wouldn't you like to be a schlepper, too?

Definition: schlepper - one who schleps.

Yeah, that's us.  The hard work with RVing is at the beginning and end of any lengthy trip... carting stuff between the house and the RV.  Oh, it is easy to say, "Just by two of everything," but that isn't always practical.  Or, you might say, "Just don't come home."  That has possibilities, but we do have a home.  Kinda like it, too.  Izzy really likes it... she doesn't have to schlep stuff back and forth.

It is a bit warm here.  The thermometer says 86º.  With humidity, the heat index is currently "feels like 97º."  We tried to get our schlepping done in the morning, and made a good dent during that time.  Well, we also went out for breakfast and got the air conditioner in the truck going again - both important tasks.

Fresh filters in the house a/c.  Deck and driveway swept.  Patio furniture out on the deck.  Cargo trailer positioned in our driveway so it is functional.  Truck washed (OK, that was an automatic).  Clothes, toiletries, and food moved out of the motorhome.  Can you say, "Wet to the skin"?

The motorhome is in dire need of being washed.  Even with all the rain here this season, there are still water restrictions: vehicle washing on Wednesdays and Saturdays only.  That means: do it in the middle of the steaming hot afternoon after all the schlepping, or wait 'till Saturday.  Decisions, decisions.
