Oh, the weather outside is...
quite nice, actually. :-)
It was last year around this time that we were evacuated from our motorhome, and into a motel next door, due to an inbound tornado. Yeah, we were in South Dakota at the time. Trying to get to the Pacific Northwest. Two hundred miles further down the road, the Interstate was closed due to a blizzard in the Black Hills. Fun. Not.
From there, it was just an endurance contest, dealing with ugly weather almost all the way to the San Juan Islands. That's why we contracted for the time we are doing this year.
Oh, it is warm, breezy, sunny, and humid in the Tropical Tip. Looking north, they are dealing with thunderstorms, hail, tornadoes, and all manner of ugliness. By the time we head out (in a few weeks), we are hoping that the spring weather up north will have settled down.
In non-weather news: Joan has completed the quilt she was working on. Now it is a matter of washing and drying it a few times to get the gazillion or so cuts she made to "turn to fringe." There will be photos of it, when she declares it "done."
The new smaller guitar and I are getting along nicely. It is getting more than its share of playing time, but I am doing my best to make sure none of the guitars feel left out.
And little Izzy? Well, she always looks like a feline super-model, right? Ummm...
Not sure what happened there - she really isn't cross-eyed. And pretty sure she doesn't have a hang-over. A couple seconds later...
Yeah, she knows how to pose.
Oh, and the weather: a sunset from yesterday...
Nicer than the way that looks - there was a low scuddy layer of thin clouds that made for a look of drama... without the nasty weather. Yeah, I got my bike ride in today. :-)

If you don't hurry up you'll miss Oklahoma's tornado season!!!
Ah, Mark, THAT is the plan. Last year, we dealt with Arkansas and Missouri's tornado season... and Iowa and South Dakota's tornado season... and South Dakota's late blizzard season. I have seen two tornadoes up close and personal - never need to do that again. Did you escape unscathed from this last round?
Just got my CRV in the garage before the hail hit. The nearest BIG tornado was around 50 miles south of me. Not a fan of Oklahoma in May.....
