It's finally here!

Did you have trouble sleeping last night?  The anticipation of what Ama Claus (Santa Prime?) might unveil for the Amazon Prime Days Sale?

Yeah, me neither.  I am considering an upgrade to my laptop, but the Apple Macbook Air has been "on sale" at Amazon and Best Buy for weeks.  I was hoping to see something better for Prime Day.  I have been going back and forth between the Air and the Pro... price difference, performance difference, screen difference, internal fan vs no fan, difference in ports, size, weight.  All the different configurations make it more of a challenge to get comparisons.

As far as the other stuff on the Prime Day Sales - yeah, I haven't really dug into it... maybe there's other stuff I didn't even know I need?!  I'm kidding.  A lot of hype.

During last fall's Prime Day I grabbed an Enya Pro 4 "carbon fiber" guitar on a pretty good sale, just to try it out. I nearly sent it back within the return window, since it does not hold a candle to my Rainsong or Emerald guitars, or the Sable (which it copies). But I hung onto it. It is now in the hands of a friend who likes the on-board effects like reverb and chorus, and wants an expendable beater for the back of his truck. That is probably the only thing we've gotten during Prime Days, but I'd have to ask Alice about that. She is always buying something....

We've topped out at 103° now. Yikes. Kitties are inside enjoying the AC with us.

103º? Does Mother Nature know you live "in a northern state"?? Murphy did get out early and late today... and even then it was unpleasantly warm. Got up to 114º. When we lived in Texas, I used to say, "I'd rather have this heat than the cold and snow up north." At that point, temps were in the 90s, and high humidity. There is a reason we got out of there during the summer. Somebody explain to me why I am here in the desert currently.

I thought about one of those Enya Nova Go Mini guitars, but the scale of 20 1/4" seems really short. Never played one.

I can't help you with that desert location. You made your choices.... It topped out at 105° but will only be 96° today. We are a northern state, but Boise is only 60 miles north of the Nevada state line, so we get desert and sagebrush like they do. It is much more temperate up north like Coeur D'aLene. But they get snow.

The Enya was OK but not great. I wrote up a review of it last November on AGF. Decently built but sounded kinda strident. I had to lower the nut slots to make it more playable but the setup otherwise was decent.

Off to the airport with Alice now. I will be "without adult supervision" until Monday evening.

Choice? I was out-voted. I think the whole thing was rigged. I was sold a bill of goods. There were promises made. I didn't think we'd actually be here in the desert this time of year. There may be some breach of contract situation happening. Oh, and it topped out at 114º yesterday, but should only be 117º for a high today. Yeah, breach of contract.

You and the cats until Monday evening? That's a long time to go without "backup."
