Will it go 'round in circles...

If you said, "Billy Preston," you get 250 bonus points!

When we left the middle of west Texas this morning, the humidity was still 6%.  The weather weasels out of Odessa were predicting hot, dry, and windy along our route.  One out of three - typical.

We started out with a slight tailwind... which soon became a quartering headwind from the north... followed by a direct crosswind from the south... then a bit of a tailwind from the southwest... then, back to northeast... and then settled in as a headwind from the east southeast.  That's a bit like sailing on a mountain lake.  ;-)  Big Red could tell the difference as the wind changed directions; as we watched the fuel level and the trip computer MPG drop.

We even rain into some drizzly rain for about 70 to 80 miles.  Did someone say, "Dry"??  Low clouds.  And the humidity?  86%.  After a couple months in the desert, you notice that!  ;-)

We saw quite a few HitchHikers heading west on I-10 as we were heading east... I guess we missed the party.   embarrassed

Little Izzy was her usual good travelin' self.  She spent some time on Joan's lap, getting her belly rubbed...

Then, spread the love around and came over to my side...

With everyone supplied with Izzy-love, and not much to look at outside, she settled in for a nap...

Checking weather along the way (and sometimes I wonder what point there is in that?), the wind is supposed to be out of the south tomorrow for our trip home.  We were planning to make it somewhere around San Antonio for today.  Friday's forecast is for wind out of the north... well, that would give us a tailwind for the last leg from San Antonio to home.  What we will save on fuel will pay for an extra night in our favorite RV park in the San Antonio area... so, we are down for a couple nights.

Admiralty RV Resort has reconfigured some sites to better accommodate big rigs (and folks like us who bring along a cargo trailer - nice when RV resorts keep up with people's travel styles) - they have several "Super Sites" that are 80' long... but, those were all full.  They have some "Plus Sites" that give you a 60' paved pad plus a big parking space for your tow vehicle alongside.  That works for us...

Nice park, friendly people at the desk.  We have stayed here in the past when in San Antonio for a week.  We will definitely stay here again.
