Escape!

It has been a week now (seems longer) that this crud has kept us housebound.  Today, Joan said, "Lunch out and a movie."

"Yes, Ma'am."

It was a warm and windy day; felt good to feel the outdoors.  We had a light lunch, then went to see Love the Coopers.  We were there 15 minutes early and had the theater to ourselves.  Just before the show started another couple came in.  Then, 5 more women who played "musical chairs," trying to find the best place to sit.

The movie didn't get great reviews, but it was decent.  John Goodman and Diane Keaton, and cast of grown kids, grandkids, Alan Arkin (the grandfather).  It was mostly predictable. A tale of family disfunction, where each person thinks their sad situation is unique.  Reading that, it might be hard to imagine it is a comedy.

The popcorn was good, I was happy to be on a date with my Honey, and this is the longest I have been upright in the past week.  I need a nap, now, but I am calling this a successful outing.

Hi Mark,

Took a few days off thanks to this cold/flu/crud. I am up and reasonably about, so will have something to talk about besides: "Hey, I just hacked up another big hunk of my lung. Cool!"

;-)
