The other way...

Yesterday, we rode east and south.  Today, north and west.

A light breeze again; warmer (a couple degrees), but partly to mostly cloudy.  Still, nice riding.  Gearing up...

Cruising...

No particular destination in mind, we decided to head west to Verrado, one of our favorite loops...

Contrary to what you might think, that is not a helmet decoration - it's a cactus.  They still have Christmas decorations up in Verrado...

One interesting feature of this development: all the trees that have been transplanted here...

The yellow leaves show that autumn has arrived here.  On January 3rd.  We rode around a bit, then headed away from Verrado, going north...

Staying on secondary roads, you get to see more than traffic.  Trees being raised by a nursery...

Citrus trees in the common area of a development...

We stopped for gas ($1.84 for unleaded) and did a little shopping.  More urban cruising, then back to the motorhome, where Izzy was waiting to go for a walk...

In the little pop-up house that Steph and Dan gave her for Christmas.  She likes it.

Supper with Steph and Dan at their house - this is their last day of Christmas break before going back to school in the morning.  I'm thinking it isn't just the kids who say, "Do we have to go back to school?"  ;-)
