Annie: 1, Weasels: 0

I have mentioned the "rainy week" the local weather forecasters have been talking about.  No mention of a storm blowing through in the middle of the night.  Around 3:00 am, we were awakened by a hard pounding rain and gusty wind that made the coach shudder... yes, with the leveling jacks down.  Joan got up to see if the rug and step by our front door were still there.  Yep.  The event only lasted about 10 minutes, but it made me think about where we'd go in a weather emergency (like the time with the tornado warning last year in Mitchell, SD)... it is several blocks to the office here, and it isn't open in the middle of the night.  In the words of the philosopher Leonard (from the Big Bang Theory): "What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?"

The howling wind and rain passed, and we went back to sleep.  This morning when I got up, Annie was right...

That cloud above and north of the rising sun dissipated and the sky is mostly clear.  After two days of rain, this is a delight.

I was placing the blame on the rainy weather on my friends Pat and Patty, who arrived Sunday in Casa Grande from the rainy Pacific Northwest.  I was pretty sure they brought this crap with them.

More rain predicted for Thursday and Friday, but this current sunshine is welcomed.  Little Izzy by "her" window in the bedroom...

She will be a happy girl if it dries out enough today for her to get to go for a walk.
