Why do they call it "rush hour"??

Nobody is rushing.  They may be trying, but it isn't happening.

We have an Austin NBC station on this morning.  The "average speed" on I-35 North is 22 miles per hour.  If I had to drive in that traffic every day, the only thing that would be rushing would be my blood pressure.

We like this area - it is one of the fastest growing areas in the country.  The population has grown faster than they can build/upgrade roads.  I'm sure people who live here find alternate routes to avoid the bumper-to-bumper slog.
