Square wheels...

The Aspect has a pretty comfortable ride... for a truck.

Running across Montana, the two-lane portion of it was good road.  The middle part of the state on I-90 was decent road.  The last third or so... well, that was pretty sucky.  It didn't get any better as we ran into Idaho.

Leaving today, it was fog and drizzle again...

Checking temps ahead on our route, there was nothing below about 40º, even in the higher elevations.  Wasn't long before the rain came down heavier...

Seems to be a theme for much of the three weeks since we left Texas.  Climbing in elevation, the road was wet, but reasonably smooth.  Clearing the first pass, we could see some lighter sky ahead...

We enjoyed what we could see of the scenery...

As you can see, we drove out of the rain.  Even had a "patch of blue" for a bit...

That's what we referred to (in my flying days) as "a sucker hole."  Yeah, don't believe that little bit of blue.

Izzy spends most of our driving time in the motorhome snuggled under the pillow shams in the bed.  It is cushy back there.  Joan brought her forward for a while...

She had no problem getting comfortable on Joan's lap.

We ran into more construction...

It was a long driving day (for us) today... and the last half of it was on roads that were crappy more than decent.  That is wearing.  Feels like someone swapped out our round tires for square ones.

Some pretty scenery in Idaho, too...

We are down for the night, dry camping.  The Aspect is self-contained, but we usually stay at RV parks.  We bought this with some dry camping in mind, so this will be a good test.

After hearing from our friend Merv about an alternate route, we will get back off the Interstate tomorrow, and do some mountain two lanes as we continue west and north.
