Bridges...

The weasels have been predicting a significant change of precip for the next few days - didn't look like it when looking out the window.  Time to get a scoot ride in; they haven't been getting much attention since we've been home.

Out the "main drag" on our island...

Across the Intracoastal Waterway on the swingbridge...

Warm and humid again today, not much breeze, though.  It blew strong enough last night that we put the sun-screens up on our deck before going to bed.  That didn't drop the temperature - it was 79º when I got up this morning, the high is supposed to 84º (feels like 90º).

Onto the causeway and across the Laguna Madre...

Pretty quiet on the island.  We rode around South Padre for a bit, mostly enjoying the ride, but looking for a chance to get the current "scooter tag" (your scooter with a cellular provider).  Nothing there, but we knew of one on the Port Isabel side of the causeway.  Heading east, back across the causeway...

The yellow signs with the flashing lights are to let you know it is likely there will be pelicans flying next to the causeway.  They seem to like catching the updrafts along the causeway... but that can be a problem when a big vehicle goes by and interrupts those drafts.

Coming into Port Isabel...

Couldn't get around on wheels here without those bridges.  Oh, and I did get the scooter tag.  Not the reason for getting out - just enjoying some time on the scoots.
