While I've been shooting video more often lately, I still enjoy still images - they capture a moment in timer. Check out this image of Murphy that I took with my iPhone...
The appearance is a huge mane and ruff. That was not Photoshop or AI - it is how he looked in the moment, but he is not that furry. As he started to crouch down, his fur bunched up. Think about when you pull your head back and down - do you wind up with more "chins"? We all do, but that is not how you look most of the time. Same thing here. Murphy is a medium hair feline; but he looks like a long hair in this image. In our studio days, it was my job to "capture that moment" when people looked their best.
Here is a shot a few moments later...
That is a long cat. More of how Murphy actually is. I can often capture good images of this boy, but he is not "a poser" like Izzy or Rufus. They seemed to go for their "model looks" whenever I'd pull out a camera. Murphy is not one to stare into the camera lens... I have to be quick to get the shot.
