Or: Northern Lights. They are highly visible in many places in the Northern Hemisphere tonight. I've been seeing the photos posted on-line last night and tonight. Beautiful! In fact, the local weather said they'd likely be visible in northern Arizona... alas, we are at the southern edge of the Phoenix, which means we are having to look through the "light pollution" from all the lights in the Valley of the Sun.
So, no Northern Lights for us. I went outside to look to the north - just the glow of lights from the 5th largest city in the country.
But, one of the local weather guys shared this...
Not as cool as seeing it in person, but I can imagine. We have seen the Northern Lights twice - both times while living in Spearfish, SD. I was hopeful tonight, but realistic.
