Getting ready for the road...

The motorcycle and kayaks are in the trailer, packed like puzzle pieces. The bikes are folded up and put in one our basement storage compartments. Tomorrow morning, we will hitch-up and hit the road. Our perspective has changed with our traveling style: when we stayed at a different place every night, we were always "packed and ready to roll." After 10 days here (that was our whole vacation when we younger), we have unpacked and spread out... it takes the better part of a day to get it all put away.

I met our next door neighbors, now that we're both about ready to head out. Nice folks, we have a lot in common. They are towing a cargo trailer with a motorcycle inside... sounds like they do quite a bit more riding than we do these days, though. They travel with a Yorkie, but have had travel cats. We've been to many of the same places - fun visiting with them.

Little Izzy knows something is up - her carrier has been brought inside. Unlike our other cats, Izzy likes the carrier; she goes right inside when we put it down. It's her "safe haven" when we travel. "The carrier is out - guess we're heading out!"

See you on the road.

Enjoying a trip in a different way would be impressive for others. They might follow your travel style.
