Not a lot of miles today (well, compared to yesterday), but just as many hours. We got caught in some construction, where three lanes converged to one, and that lane was forced to exit the Interstate... with the only forewarning coming JUST AFTER the last exit where you could escape. It took us over an hour and a half to go a couple miles. You get to see humanity at its worst in traffic snafus like this: people driving off the road, mad switching of lanes, people not allowing a big truck to move over. We were fortunate: we had just fueled up and pottied about 15 minutes before we ran into this mess.
We saw a woman in a small car with all kinds of floral arrangements in the car... Joan said, "I sure hope she's not on her way to a wedding."
Once beyond the bridge construction, traffic immediately ramped up to only 10 mph over the posted speed limit. Yep, we're back in the Lone Star State.
