As in: a whole bunch. Boats, dolphins, smiles... lotsa.
Another lovely day. A few degrees warmer, a little bit more breeze, but clear blue skies and still low humidity... it was a day just begging for some time on the water.
Just after Izzy's lunch, we shoved off. Again, one of us said, "I'm just going to lounge and enjoy the scenery - no photos"....
How's that workin' for ya? ;-)
The dolphins were right there by our island...
I think this one will be my favorite shot of the day...
... and there is lotsa day left.
Since this group was going east, we ran east. I called the swingbridge and asked for an opening...
The yellow end of that barge part of the bridge could stand to be painted. However, the bridge would need to be open to get a float by that end to paint... and if it is open, cars can't get across. Timing.
The dolphins came through the opening with us.

Joan got out snacks for us. Because snacks and boating go together like bacon on a cheeseburger. Great, now I'm hungry. But, I digress yet again.
Lotsa boats out today. In fact, this is the busiest I've seen the water around here since the last time we were here in the summer. An overview...

Joan took the helm while I took photos for a while...
There is a jetski in the middle of that swirl of water above; seems they are happiest when they are "doing donuts" and stirring up water.
We headed into the jetties area. Lotsa people fishing on the jetties...
These guys were flying by...
Looking over the jetties, you can see the beach on South Padre Island...
Well, you would be able to see the beach if not for the throngs of people. Lotsa people.
Looking ahead, towards the Gulf - the water is a beautiful color today...
Heading back in, more boats...
Coming at us like a locomotive, this is Thriller, a fast local excursion boat...

I took the helm back and headed us for home...
Turning out of the ship channel - yep, more dolphins...
Same group we spent time with yesterday...
