We made a trip to Yellowstone today. Not to tourist about, but to visit our friends Paul and Pat. They are working at the marina up there; Paul and I were the cruise boat captains there in 2008. They took a few years off and decided to come back this year.

We had lunch at the Lake Lodge, with a nice view of the lake. From there, the four of us took a trip down to the marina to see the boat that Paul built...

Neat boat; designed for trailering and traveling. Nicely finished interior; v-berth, Wallas stove/heater, comfortable helm and co-pilot seats, plenty of storage. Paul is a real craftsman. Then, back to the Lake Village area for some ice cream - Moose Tracks, to be specific. Afterwards, we said our "See you down the road", drove past the Lake Hotel, and headed south to the Tetons.

We enjoyed our outing up north, but I have to say... love the views in the Tetons.
