The new iPad... Apple unveiled the 3rd generation of it's iPad today, with sales supposed to start on March 16th. That's pretty fast for a new machine from intro to hitting the stores. While everyone is talking about the HD resolution of the screen, in my take, the really big news is it will be a 4G machine. That will be the first Apple device to take advantage of the 4G speeds... I'm assuming another iPhone with 4G won't be too far behind (pure speculation).
We're still running with a first gen iPad and I don't see any big reason to get the newest, bestest, since we connect with ours via a 4G Droid and wifi. But, if you are wanting to show off photos or videos, that new screen resolution is going to be eye-popping, I would imagine.
Smart on Apple's part to not make their iPad2 "obsolete" while they sell off their remaining stock. I would guess that a price reduction on the iPad2 is also coming.
If you like your current iPad as chartplotter, this should only be crisper and better... and the opportunity to burn through data with 4G! Nice.

On the domestic front: new drapes completed, hardware mounted, ready to hang! Heck, we just might move in with the kids so we can enjoy our handiwork! ;-)
