Back in the water...

We spent the morning doing "the shuffle" - getting stuff moved back and forth between the truck and the boat.  Some things we needed on land aren't needed on the water and vice versa.  Then to the boat launch at Cap Sante Marina.  We have always put Wild Blue in with the trailer, but the options are limited here, and we didn't want to have to chase back and forth.  This was easy.

Back up to the launch area...

Put the straps on and lift 'er up...

The guy running the lift made it look easy.  I told him this was our first time at this; of course, he said, "Me, too!  Well, the first day.  You're my second try - the first one didn't go so good."

I appreciate a sense of humor.  He ran the boat back towards the water with the lift...

And plunked her in...

A few more $$ than using a ramp, but very easy and convenient.  And right now, we appreciate easy and convenient.  Brad, the Operations Manager of the marina, made this a snap for us.  We tied off, parked the truck and trailer, walked back to the boat, and shoved off.  Oh, there was one small thing: as he lifted the boat off the trailer, Joan said, "Our cat is on the boat - you better be VERY careful with our furry kid."

"Oh, the pressure is on."  ;-)

Wild Blue is in a slip for a couple days while we get set up and provisioned.  I'm really hoping the relaxing part will start soon... but I sure haven't seen it, yet.  But, we are back on the water and Wild Blue is WAY more functional on the water!

Lots of new noises, smells, and movements for Izzy to adjust to.  For now, she seems to feel her carrier is a safe haven...

She'll come out when she's ready.  Or, when the next meal is served.

On edit:

Some of you were concerned about Izzy... it didn't take her long to get used to being on the water again.  Checking out the view out of the cockpit...

You aren't going to make me go out there, are you?

As we settled in, Iz wanted to get in on some Yahtzee...

Yeah, she's doing fine.

Izzy looks at home. Glad you used the sling lift, really convenient. We are in tip polish, and will be in Seattle tomorrow if things hold together.
