No, those nylon strings I tried on my Emerald X7 were a less than successful experiment... and by that I mean: the sound sucked and after three days of endless tuning, those strings were continuing to stretch. My friend, Earl, said I just didn't give them enough time... my ears told me I had given them too much time.
I took those strings off and put on a set of Elixirs, my go-to string brand. Ahhhhhhhh - my sweet X7 is back! Sounding great and staying in tune. All is good again in X7-land!
