It was 38º outside when I got up this morning. The weather weasels predicted this, so it wasn't a surprise. To me. To the furry family member... "This ain't right."
Yeah, he really wanted to go out after the sun came up. "It's cold out there, buddy," I told him. He wasn't swayed. Being the good cat Dad I am, I put on a fleece jacket and a stocking cap... and took him out...
Look at that face. "Why is it so cold out here, Dad?"
"It's winter in the desert, Murph. This was your call; we don't have to stay out here." He wasn't in a hurry to go back inside, though. He was a party of one.
After coming back in and getting a snake (on edit: Joan informed me that I put "snake" in there - I did NOT feed my boy a snake - I gave him a snack!), we invited Tango over. Here's the orange boy checking out Murphy's new man-cave...
Those two play together pretty well. But Tango doesn't go outside like Murphy.
Today's kitty Advent Calendar required some "re-gifting"... it was a really small plastic ball; we were concerned it would be a choking hazard. Joan pulled one of Murph's previous balls out... "Hey, I've seen this one before!"
My Advent Calendar gift for the day...
I had no idea what it was, either. That blue dome is actually white - it glows in different colors and changes in time to the music it hears. Ah, another music-related gift (yesterday was microphone clips, that hold a mic to the mic stand). This may be Joan's way of telling me she wants more music played at home... along with our little "disco light." ;-)
Without the dome...
