On the water...

Our friend, Tim, invited us to go out on his sailboat today, but we had planned to make a land run north to Laughlin.  Last minute, we decided to pass on that and took the casino shuttle across Lake Havasu to Havasu Landing on the California side of the lake.

The casino isn't much, but the boat they use is new and an ideal lake commuter...

Nice helm!  I think running back and forth all day long would get old quick, but what great "office"...

Two decks - it was a nice day, so we sat up top (not enclosed).  We didn't win enough to pay for lunch, but we did see some good sailing on the way back...

Plenty of wind today.

Looking for a job next summer are you?

Definitely NOT! Lake Havasu City in the summer??? Nope, it wouldn't be my choice. I've been in Arizona in the summer... it makes south Texas look "moderate." "But, it's a DRY heat"??? Yeah, so is an oven. ;-)

Sure is a nice boat, though. I just admire a boat that has been well designed to do a particular job.

Again, that was a very nice thing you arranged for Dusty - you're a good guy!

Best wishes,
Jim
