Really?

We packed up this morning, moving the Love Shack to Lake Havasu City for a gathering of "pocket cruisers" aka trailersailors.  It started sprinkling on us while we got the 5th wheel ready to roll.  Heading down I-10, the sprinkle turned into rain.  It's been quite a long time since we've run into any kind of weather while towing.  I guess I was living right.

When we stopped for fuel, the rain and wind really cranked up... temp down to 40º.  Don't believe that stuff about the desert being hot...

Off the Interstate, there is a lot of nuthin', 2 lane road with whoop-de-doos.  By the time we made it to Parker, the rain stopped and the sky turned blue.  Just in time for lunch.  The wind and cold stuck around.

We rolled into Havasu, crossed the London Bridge, and put the HitchHiker into a very nice site at the RV park.  Unlike some RVers, my definition of "nice" is: a big wide cement site, with good utility hook-ups, and no trees to get in the way of our satellite TV signal.  I'm not into that nature kinda camping. ;-)

We got set up and went to where the sailors are gathering; picked up our goodie bag, took a walk along the water, then a run for supplies.  With no boat here, we have no real plan beyond seeing some of our trailersailor friends.  Cold and windy today, there were not a lot of boats out on the water.

World's worst photo of the London Bridge...

I left my camera in the 5th wheel... the phone does a crappy job, especially shooting into the sun.

Almost no internet connection to be had here - no Verizon data signal where we are, so I am using the Droid tethered... and it isn't too happy about that.
