We have a tracking number on the binoculars... the hostage binoculars have been freed from the clutches of the Canon repair service! Tomorrow, we'll see the results of the repair.
In the meantime, we enjoyed a beautiful day off the road. Well, we did some running: an errand for Steph, some shopping... while Joan went through fabric at Hobby Lobby, I spent a low pressure hour or so just wandering through Guitar Center. A dangerous time, if I was in the market for anything... which I am not. I had fun looking. Then, a lengthy walk through the new Outlet Mall near the Stadium. Nice - didn't need a thing there, either. Lunch out - an actual sit-down sorta thing. Off for grocery shopping so Joan can make supper for the 4 of us.
Just a nice no-schedule day. :-)

Hi Bill - Canon is eating the cost of the repair, in the name of "good will." Frankly, some follow-up, meeting promised time frames, not changing prices, better communication (ANY communication), and not flat out lying would be a better way to create good will, in my opinion. I will be glad to just have this whole fiasco over.
