Sometimes you win... sometimes the wild goose wins...

It didn't start out as a mission.

I mentioned to Joan that no one had gotten the scooter tag in quite a while.  It seemed easy enough: "to go," on a business.  Every restaurant and fast food place has food "to go," right?  No, they have: "take out"... or "pick-up"... "we deliver"... "Fro-go" (on a frozen yogurt place)... "Hot and Ready" (insert your own joke here)... "Drive Thru"... "Pick up 2 for your crew"...

It started out as a casual scooter ride.  Another hot one today, around 90º with a southwest wind... which makes it feel even hotter.  It became a quest.  There are a LOT of restaurants and take-out places on the west side of Phoenix.  I won't say we drove by every one of them, but it was a lot.

Not a stinkin' "to go" sign anywhere.

Joan took to technology: we pulled into a strip mall (that didn't have a "to go" sign on the pizza place), and got off the scooters to do a quick search on the phone... while standing in some shade.  I thought she was pretty clever when she looked up "Blinds To Go."

"It's in Massachuesetts," she said.

"We better get going... if we plan to be back in Arizona for supper."

She didn't give up - we rode through every strip mall we passed on the way home.  Nope - nothing "to go."

It wasn't from lack of trying.  We chased that wild goose all over.

Someone else is going to have to pick up that "tag."  I'm parched.

This is where "tagging" skills and a marking pen come in handy ;)
