Another moving day, a birthday, and an infestation...

We left Happy Trails... "Happy Trails to you, until we meet again."

Not a long move, we are now closer to Steph and Dan's house.  The weather is really warming up, I will miss that lovely overhead cover on the site we had last at Happy Trails.  We are a bit more exposed here...

While it looks like we are all by ourselves, we are just in the back row of this park.  Lucky to find a site, with everything going on.  I had asked the lady at the front desk if there might be a site where we would be facing north (so we don't have the sun pounding in our windshield), even if it was out in the "back 40"... she said "No!" without even checking the computer.

Yes, this is the same park that was half empty last year, but told us the "only site available" was next to the noisy dumpster.  Even though we had made reservations months in advance and had reserved for a different site.

I don't have a good "history" here, but I am keeping my mouth shut, and happy to have a site.  NASCAR is in full swing this weekend, spring training for professional baseball, and all the snowbirds who are still avoiding the crappy weather to the north.

The high today is going to get close to 90º... a bit early, and about 10 to 15º warmer than normal here.  Warm beats cold.  We have stable power (yes, I checked it), satellite TV, and 4G on the hotspot... we are good.

Today is our little girl's birthday.  The surgery is only 6 days behind her, but she thinks she is going to feel up to going out for an early supper celebration.  No, I won't be making any jokes about her getting older and going for the "early bird special."

We are happy to be close... both in where we are staying, and in our hearts.  We really thought it would work out at the park to the north, with Loop 303 being a straight shot between their house and the park.  This is better.

Happy Birthday, sweet girl!

--------------

In a semi-related topic, we had just pulled into Steph and Dan's garage yesterday, when the pest control guy showed up.  He greeted us, and asked if there had been any issue with pests... I said, "There seems to be an infestation of parents and in-laws."

He said with a laugh, "I have a chemical for that."

No doubt.

---------------

A water site!

We have stayed at this park a bunch of times (because it is the most convenient to the kids); our first time out at this end.  There is an irrigation canal that runs just outside the park...

Right behind that fence that we are backed up to...

I wonder if we paid extra for a "water view site."  Joan said, "It might add a little humidity for us."

Yeah, it's a dry heat.  ;-)
