We're down for the night in Newark, NY, just west of lock 28B on the Erie Canal. Nice facilities for passing boaters here: good dock, power, water, shower, laundry, restaurants within easy walking... what more could a person ask for?
We covered about 45 miles today, and went through 9 locks... lots of pretty scenery along the way. We met up with friends here at the dock and made some new friends; had supper with two other C-Dory couples.
We spent the evening visiting with the boaters on the dock here... until the mosquitoes drove us all into our boats.
